Rules & regulations for students
1. Respect the teachers. Students are expected to greet the teacher before and after class by placing the left hand over the right clenched fist in front of the chest.
* Student should not coach or teach the skills learnt from the Centre to anyone other than fellow students of the Centre, without permission from the Centre. Any coaching or teaching of fellow students must be done at the Centre.
2. Uniform. Students are expected to wear the complete set of the Centre’s uniform and shoes for training at all times. The uniforms and shoes should be clean and neat.
3. Students from Taiji Sword class are expected to bring along their swords for training. Taiji sword is listed as a controlled weapon. For safety reasons, students can only practice with the sword after 7:30am within the training area.
4. The objective of the Centre is to promote traditional Taoist health cultivation techniques. Students should not engage in any form of trading or business activities within the Centre, without permission from the Centre. The Centre reserves the right to take legal and disciplinary actions against anyone found engaged in such activities.
5. Students are not allowed to eat, drink, or smoke within the training area before, during, or after class.
6. Basic conduct.
i. Students should refrain from talking loudly or indulging in noisy activities that may disrupt the class, or participate in any other form of conduct that is deemed inappropriate by the instructor/ staff.
ii. Mobile phones should be turned off or put into silent mode before the class commences. Should it be necessary to answer a call, the call must be taken outside the training area.
iii. Students are expected to obey the instructions of the instructor/ staff. Instructors/ staffs reserve the rights to ask the non-complying students to leave the training area.
7. Punctuality. Students should make all efforts to arrive for class on time. Latecomers should seek permission of the instructor/ staff before joining the class.
8. Membership card. Students are required display on his/ her uniform his/her membership card during class. Instructor/ staff reserves the right to check a student’s membership card.
9. Membership fees. Fees paid are non-refundable.
10. Non-member. Students are not allowed to bring other non-member visitors to the training area without the permission of the instructor/ staff. Students are not allowed to cause disturbance with non-members outside the training area.
11. Obedience. Students are expected to follow the instructor’s instructions, so that training can be conducted in an orderly and proper manner.
12. Accessories. Students are expected to remove all accessories before class, to prevent causing injuring or harm to him/herself and/or others.
13. Personal properties. The Centre shall not be responsible for any lost or stolen property.
14. Photography/ Videography. Photography/ videography is prohibited without permission from the instructor/ staff.
15. Personal health. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that he/ she is in good health to participate in any training or activity at the Centre. Should a student feel unwell, dizzy, or experience pain or any other form of discomfort/ illness, he/ she should stop training and inform the instructor/ staff immediately.
Note: Any student who fails to follow these Rules & Regulations may be told to leave the training area or subjected to termination of membership.
